=( =( =(
its been 2.5 hours since I last saw her.

I gave her the other half of the Benadryl. She still acts fine. I have a big test tomorrow I have to study for.
My friend says I worry too much and that dogs have lived for 100s of years without people. [sigh]

UPDATE: Its about 4 hours later and she looks back to normal

If you don't have a thermometer you can check for a fever by feeling the temperature of the nose. It's ok if it's just a little warm but if it feels too warm she probably has a fever.

Awwwww!!! poor thing!!! she looks so pathetic :(. I would probably call the vet just to make sure...you've done a great job of keeping her on the benadryl though. Hopefully she'll feel better soon! Kiwi sends lots of nub wags and kisses.

UPDATE:
Her face looks much better, Benadryl is working.

I gave her a nice cool bath to wash off her entire underside (with shampoo!)

She may be spending a few days at my parent's house.

My mom thinks it could be a combination of all the chemicals (the yard, the cat, and her own)

The packages are always very insistent to not put the cat one on dogs, and vice versa, so maybe its because of a possible allergic reaction? We'll keep them separated.

And it got worse without the antler, right? So it's probably not that.
Call the number on the pesticide can, see what they say.

Poor little thing.
Didn't someone else here post a pic of their corgi with a swollen face? Does anyone remember what it was? I think it was a month or two ago.

UPDATE! I took her to pee in the neighborhood and her vulva is also red and swollen (likely because it touched the yard earlier.

That pinkness is normal/a trick of the camera. When I look at her she looks fine, even under the eyelid.

It is going down now, I think, since the Benadryl.

Sorry, I'm the kind of person who doesn't depend on the vet very much. It was kind've the way I was raised. My mom did not rush us to the doctor's office for a sniffle. Only for very severe things that we couldn't handle on our own. I think the vet would only give her Cortisol, but its not like her throat is closing up, she's eating/drinking/breathing fine.

I don't have a thermometer =/ (this is now added to the list) but she doesn't feel hot anywhere.

thanks

It looks kind of pink along the edge -- is that the usual color? if you look under the eyelid, does it look irritated at all? although, Bertie's eye swelled up like that when he was stung on the cheek by a bee once... Good luck (on your test and with poor Pooka!)

Oh you should check for fever just in case too.

You should take her to the vet!

Puppy looks so sad that way. Is her skin pink at all? Like abnormally pink?
