Thought you might enjoy a good laugh about KC's possible acting career. First of all, no matter what he tells everyone else, KC is my husbands dog. She tolerates me while he is at work. A couple of weekends ago Larry and the boys went to The Dalles for the weekend, I was packing their bags etc during the day and KC didn't seem to concerned, normally she assumes she gets to go anywhere we go and tries to help pack, I should have realized then she was up to something.Larry got home from work early and instead of KC's normal joy at "daddy" being home she started moping around the house. I mean head down, ears down, big sad eyes, lots of sighing. We started hauling stuff to the truck & instead of her coming out and getting in the rig like she usually does we notice she was nowhere to be found. Went in the house and found her under our bed, a place she NEVER is during the day. Got her out from there and she just sat limply in my arms looking at Larry sighing. He of course caved and asked her if she wanted to go to Grandma's too. The nub started wagging but she kept the sad puppy look up through putting on her harness, finding her leash and getting some food. She finally sat on his lap and gave him a few puppy kisses. The kids got home from school and everyone is told to get in the truck. She very calmly and ladylike walks to truck, waits her turn to get in, curls up on back seat and looks at us. Normally she is bounding to the truck, clamboring with the kids to get in and takes "her" spot in the front seat. He said she stayed like that until they got to the paved road and she was certain she was going and then returned to her normal self. I laughed so hard at her. And I don't care what anyone else says about dogs, she was smart enough to know that if she didn't do something big she was going to get stuck at home with mom.
