Hello everyone! Chase and I are new to the site and this is our first blog post.
I finally decided to join because I often found myself coming here for answers to my "Is this just a "Corgi thing?" questions. I like MyCorgi.com because it is full of experienced Corgi parents and new Corgi parents, like myself.
Here is a little bit about our family..
I am recently engaged (November 2011) and my fiance and I are new parents to our 6 month old Pembroke W. Corgi, Chase. Chase is very active, always happy and on occasion, a little monster. After spending three days calling him "Happy face" because I couldn't pick a name, we decided to name him Chase because my little mama's boy chases me all over the house. Chase is absolutely spoiled rotten (thanks to me) and it sometimes backfires. This 20lb ball of energy runs the household (or at least he likes to think so)! He likes to boss his cat sister, Daisy, around and herd the whole family. I love to watch him run circles around the living room and the back yard. We are excited to learn some things from experienced Corgi parents and maybe makes some new friends!!

Welcome!
Thank you for all the warm welcomes!!
@Judith- I have never even thought twice about that since I bought him from a breeder. I have been looking at all the pictures on here, the majority that I've seen being Pems and I've thought he looked different..
Since you brought that to my attention I've taken a second look at the differences in the Cardigans and the Pembrokes and I think you may be right. He's only 6 months old and he already looks a bit taller than the Pems.
The breeder I bought him from was desperate to sell him because he was the last puppy and over 3 months old. He even came down on the price a lot. Truthfully, I was so excited to have him, I don't think I even noticed. Apparently I never noticed. lol I guess its possible that he wasn't completely truthful about the breed when I agreed to buy Chase.
The vet apparently never noticed either.
Either way, I love him. :)
But I do appreciate you pointing that out!
Welcome...he is darling. I do have one question...he's a Pembroke? He looks more like a Cardigan? At any rate, he is a cutey.
A warm Corgi welcome to the site, Chase and Kaitlyn!
Chase is a gorgeous puppy! Welcome to "My Corgi", you have just found a great site for all your quesions! And a great network of people who love their corgis like you do! Please post lots of pictures.
@ Mila & Meatball- "zoomies" that's so cute! I say it looks like he's doing NASCAR laps. NASCORGI! haha
@ Cindi- you have a house full! I can't say I blame you though, I would have a house full if I had enough room. I would like to get another Pem, a girl, after Chase gets older and mom teaches him how to behave. I am on Facebook, do I just search Corgi Nation?
Welcome! How exciting for you and your new puppy!
Welcome Kaitlyn! My partner and I have 4 Pems, 1 Cardi, a Cardi/Heeler X, and a mini-Aussie/Spitz X and a Catahoula X. Can you tell I train and rescue dogs? LOL! You'll love being here. Are you on Facebook too? Corgi Nation has a huge Facebook following!
Thank you!!
I am very excited to be here. I have wanted a Corgi since I was a little girl so when it was time to choose a breed, there was no question!!
