Not the first entry back you want when you have taken a bit of a break.

I came home for lunch today and Owen had thrown up on his bed and almost all the evidence had been eaten, yuck. I'm think okay.. that is a little unusually but not uncommon. He took forever to pee outside and then poo was normal then runny. Worried a little. Put the bed in the washer.

Came home after work, 3 hours later and Owen has throw up remenants on the floor again. I sigh, have to use the bathroom but let him out of his hallway first. I come back out and he has really thrown up in the living room - half on the area rug and half on the wood floor. It is really liquidy but this time I am able to put him in the hallway and do an actual clean up. Call the vet. Vet says to watch him tonight and if he keeps it up to bring him in tomorrow. Sounds like fun. This is why I chose a dog over a child? Good thing I love him and call him Mommy's baby.

I am very worried but he is resting in the living room on a blanket and seems comfortable. He hasn't really had any water since this morning judging by his bowl.

Is there anything I can do to help him/keep him hydrated?

Glad to hear he's feeling better. I have 2 Corgis -- Ethel, who has made some sort of pact with the devil, so no matter what she does or eats, she never gets sick and Bertie, who has had giardia and several intestinal flus that landed him on an IV twice for a couple of days. So I know how scary it is when they get so low and you don't know what to do. But he bounced right back -- some dogs just are more sensitive, I guess. But follow your instincts and don't rush him back onto solids (WendWorth above is quite right!) no matter what he says to you with those big Corgi eyes and that happy grin!

He definitely had a bad case of it. I was going to mention w/him being lethargic and not wanting to eat w/all the vomitting that this could be bloat and if not treated ASAP can cause death and even when treated in time if prolonged can cause toxins in the body that are damaging and w/even surgery the dogs still pass on. I'm glad to hear he is doing better. It won't hurt to with hold solids for 24 hrs to let the intestines and belly heal and start introducing tomorrow to be on the safe side. He may have diarrhea and with feeding later this evening your going to wake up to a mess. Corgis are always hungry but for his own good might be best.

He was out all day yesterday. Wouldn't do anything but lay on his bed. Didn't even want an icecube! He must have been hurting. He threw up and was runny again for the last time at 10pm last night. My husband slept in the living room next to him (since Owen had already thrown up on two of his beds, the couch, my husband, and the rug). Then this morning he was up, alert, thirsty, curious. Still not very barky but thats okay :). I let him drink water and gave him a half a cup of chicken broth (low sodium). He lapped that up and then started pushing his bowl around looking for more! I don't know what was in him but we are going to slowly reintroduce food tonight with chicken and rice and see how it goes. I can tell he is hungry but we are going to make him wait.

Oh..also..you can give pepcid to help w/nausea or the diarrhea as well.

Take his temp. If normal bland diet of chicken and rice for a few days. Yogurt for the intestinal tract and you can add pedialyte to his water to keep his electro lights up or get the popsicles if he likes to chew on them. It seems there is a bug going around. I've heard of many dogs doing this w/in the last couple of weeks and mine have gone through bouts of it themselves. I'm not having a major vomitting issue but the stools are my problem. It hits one of them and then the next but hasn't lasted more then a day or so. They will still eat, active, just really soft stools.

Poor pup! When Jack is ill he also likes ice cubes to chew or lick on or sometimes I crush some and keep the bowl of ice chips next to where he is lying down. My Vet has 2 Corgis and she recomends a lite diet of steamed white rice made in chicken broth(do not season it!).It provides fluid and very mild and easy to digest food. Good Luck!!

The last time Bertie was sick, he did lick on some ice cubes, that was about it (IF I sat with him and held the ice cube for him, that is -- but they are our babies after all). This was what I learned: Check his gums, if they are pink and damp, he's ok, but if they get tacky or pale, then he's getting dehydrated.
