Puppy Class
Tonight was Teghan's first puppy class! I haven't had a dog in class since I was a child in 4-H. My seventeen year old Heeler never went to class, which in hindsight was a terrible idea since the socialization would have been good for her. I knew how to train a dog though and old Suade was an easy learner, so I didn't take her. So I decided to take Teghan and it was fun to freshen up on some techniques to train her. I also knew it would be a good idea since she is so smart and stubborn (that's not a Corgi trait, is it? lol). It should be interesting training this girl!

Marissa, it's awesome that there will be another Corgi pup in your class! They seem to enjoy other Corgis. Jane, my drive is about 45 minutes. I could take classes here in town, but the place I go to offers agility and I plan on training Teghan to compete. Bev, I agree! That's the main reason I like to go! :)

I always take classes with mine. Even if I know the stuff, it is a great refresher and the pup learns to listen to me in a controlled situation with other dogs.Have fun!

Oh how fun! I love taking classes with my dogs! Unfortunately we have an hour drive each way so I only do 2=3 classes when they are young. Enjoy!

I can't wait to start puppy classes with Bandit! It is something that I think I will really enjoy and it is great socialization for pups! I also heard that there is another corgi pup currently in puppy class with the private trainer I am going to use!

I always enjoyed training classes with my dogs even tho I can handle it on my own. I think the bonding experience is something that is special and the socialization for the dog is good. Enjoy it!
