So my poor little corgi mix Oona get cold very easily. Anything below 65F and she starts shivering and cuddling up to the other dogs... which sometimes they are not in the mood for. Knowing this will be her first true Michigan winter (she was born last Nov, but winter puppies don't spend too much time outside during those months), I decided she needed a sweater.
I was not about to pay $15-25 on a stupid dog sweater!
So without a pattern I decided to crochet a basic sweater based on some designs I had seen and guesses.
This is what I came up with. Not the work of a pro, but I think it is cute and my husband thinks it is ridiculous (which means cute in guy language).
It took my 3 hours (lots of time spent guessing about the pattern), and 1/2 a skein of $6 yarn.

Thanks everyone!
I am a 'stalker' member at Ravelry, but admit that I haven't logged in in a while. Time to head back it seems!
I would be willing to make more sweaters if anyone wants one. I just need length and chest measurements.
If anyone is interested, send me a message and we will talk color and style. I will do the first orders super cheap, and if there is enough interest I would use pics from your dogs on my Etsy account to sell more! How fun!
i think it is the most adorable thing I have ever seen.
It's toooo cute! Both the sweater and the pup! Do check out Ravelry.com. Great site...lots of stuff for pets, too.
