It has been raining heavily here ever since I got home from work (of course, sunny all day, and as soon as I leave work, torrential downpour). This is always fun with the dogs, of course, as it makes potty time a tad complicated. Sky doesn't mind quite as much, although he has something against having a bowel movement in the rain.. go figure. Lyla, on the other hand, tries to claw her way back through the door, even when I go out with her! This, of course, means that she comes in and goes right back into her crate (the rule at my house is you have to go potty to come out and play).
She eventually had to go so bad this evening that she did pee, and then started to have a BM, but then, it thundered REALLY loud. The poor Corgi stopped mid-poo to run back inside. Darn that thunder! =) Lyla is now huddled up next to big brother Sky trying to recover. She is such a poor, abused Corgi!
P.S. In other news, I put a deposit down on a litter for a show prospect today! (Aussie, not Corgi though... Blasphemous, I know!) The breeding won't take place for another 6 months, so about 10 months till the new puppy... but I like having time to plan and start educating myself in the dog showing/breeding world, and I'm really excited about the cross the breeder is doing. They should throw beautiful puppies. Any suggestions or advice is welcome!!
