My fiance and I looked all over for a Corgi. We called a few breeders but by the time we heard back all the pups were adopted, if we were called back at all. One night on our way to the store we stopped randomly at a pet store by us just to look at other breeds and in the very first pen were two Corgi puppies. We took home our baby that night. I would have like to find a breeder but it didn't matter after seeing her. The next morning we noticed she wasn't very active. At one point she wouldn't move. We took her to an animal hospital who told us it was kennel cough and gave us meds and sent us on our way. But being as paranoid new mommy after the next day when she didn't look any better I took her to a new vet who right away gave her an X-ray and checked her out. She had pneumonia. I seriously burst out crying in the office because I had to leave her after only having her for 3 days. My finace came home from work to be with me and to see her. It was the saddest moment. She spent 3 days at the vets and after a few weeks at at home meds my baby got better. We were even more thankful that we got her that day from the pet store since who knows when they would have done something or even noticed she was sick. They did pay for all the medical bills because of the Puppy Lemon Laws in NJ so that helped. I don't know what I would have done if I lost her.

I hope that you understand that she is meant to be with you.  I just know that fate interviened and you were placed in the right place at the right time in order to nurse this sweet baby back to health.  Hope for a continued recovery and know there is a special bond that you guys will share.  ^,,^

God sent you to rescue that angel.  I hate dog stores and the mills who supply them.  You need another one for the added fun they will have together.

this is what makes me so sad about pet stores selling dogs... what a blessing that you came along and rescued this pup or surely it would have died!!!
