My baby just turned 1 a couple of days ago! Seems like only yesterday we brought her home, our little bundle of joy. A year later, she is still the most stubborn, fiesty and lovable creature I have ever known. Things that used to bother her, like the kiddy pool and the hairdryer, are now sources of entertainment. Things like the ceiling fan, plastic bottle and tongs absolutely creep her out! She has been an absolute joy to us and could never imagine life without her.
School will soon be coming to an end for us, though my parents' health continue to decline. I know that life carries no guarantees, but I am glad to have the family and friends that I have to get through this already tough year.
We are hoping to add a baby boy(corgi, not human!) sometime this year! We are so excited. And just like other "first year parents/new parents", we have been through the ear infections, the stomach virus and the expressing of sacs. Trixie's jealousy sometimes gets the best of her and she has a hard time when we leave for school/work/take care of aging parents. In the end, no matter how bad of a day I have had, it is always so welcoming, so heart-warming and so wonderful to come home to my family; George and Trixie. Happy 1st year, Trixie! May there be many, many, many more years of happiness for you and us!
