Vaccine time!

Yesterday I brought Callie to the vet to get her vaccines. I decided that we would walk there (it is only 5 blocks away). The walk went fine and Callie really enjoyed it. She wasn't a huge fan of having to sit in the small room and wait for the vet, but she was a brave little girl when she did get her shots. After we got home she rested and was happy to be home.
I had to leave for awhile because I was working, and when I got back Callie had made a mess in the bedroom. Runny poo all over the floor... and a very upset/sick looking puppy. She skipped eating her supper.
Today she missed breakfast, and has done nothing but sleep all day. Towards the evening she did start perking up some. She had a few bites of her supper, but doesn't seem too interested in it. She has been drinking water and hasn't had any more runny poos. I'm hoping by tomorrow she will be better. I can already tell she is feeling somewhat better. (oh and she has had the WORST smelling toots all day.)

Poor girl. Next time she needs to get her vaccinations I think I won't have her get 4 at one time. I'm going to talk to the vet tomorrow and tell them about everything.

Comment by Edward and Gemima on August 31, 2009 at 10:25am: I hope Callie is feeling alot better. You got it right when you said no more to 4 shots at a time!! I only let Ed and Gem get 2 at a time! Once they got 3 but it was the milder ones and the Rabies vaccination. Edward just had his last 2 on Friday!!!! Yeah!
