I am so excited! I have a new puppy! Ryley was born in November and would have been ready to take home the day before my wedding, but between wedding plans and our rescue Tanner I knew we wouldn't be able to handle taking her on. On Easter Sunday I went on the computer to see that little five month old Ryley was still available... I was thrilled! Tanner is so much better now (of course he still has his moments) but we could totally handle her. We sent the breeder an email that night.
Monday we received an email back saying that someone had actually called on Easter about Ryley, and that she would be seeing her on Wednesday. I was devastated. We hoped that the woman wouldn't pick her and would take one of the young eight week old puppies that the breeder had instead of Ryley. I constantly checked my email yesterday, waiting to hear what the woman decided, and I was thrilled when I heard she had taken a different puppy!
I went to get Ryley this morning, bringing Tanner and Dakota with me to make sure they were compatible. I was sure Tanner would have an issue with her at first, but he's great with her. He barks at any animal, but he just accepted her right in, even when we walked into the house. Nothing! The only time he has reacted to her is when she tried to steal his toy. Not bad! It's like she's not even here.
I am so glad this is working out! Everyone was worried about Tanner's reaction to a new dog, but he's been great. So thrilled! Hopefully I can get some pictures up today!
