Pudge is 4.75 months old... and today we weighed him in at 23.5 pounds. :O He's HUGE. Our breeder said he will be a huge corgi full grown, estimating 30-35 pounds. He's really fit under the floof, not chubby at all. He's HUUUUUUUUUGE.

When do corgis stop growing??

Pudge is astonished at his hugeness as well.

Hrrm, I think Edison did most of his growing in his first six months, at which point he was maybe 25 lbs.  (He was a 12.5 lb baby when we got him at 11 weeks.)  He then grew longer (instead of bigger, we didn't notice it right away, but photographs prove it) and put on another 5 lbs over the next 18 months.  These days, he fluctuates between 30-34 lbs, depending on his food/exercise variance.  :)

I have a Keepsake corgi too! Her mom is Keepsake Smooth Jazz at Foxwood and her dad is Keepsake Happy Hour. But she's a tiny girl. She'll be 9 months old on Tuesday and she's only 18 lbs. She hasn't really grown at all for at least a month. She's always been a tiny thing, she was only about 5 pounds when I picked her up from Molly in January. either way, Pudge is just adorable!

Usually puppies grow about a pound per week for quite a while but I'd say they're not full grown until they're 2 or so.

oh my gosh!! that's so big!  Johann is just a little over 6 months and is like 18-19 lbs! I have no idea when they stop growing- the vet said that if you double their weight at 16 weeks, you will know their adult weight.  Of course, that's just a rule of thumb and doesn't apply to all dogs.  If Pudge is already that big, he might just be a fast grower!  But it sounds like he is definitely going to be a big boy!   He's so cute- I want to see him!  Everybody talked about him last meet up... hope yall make it to the next one :)

Spencer grew for a long time. He is currently about 39 pounds of muscle and fur. Since he likes to swim, there are plenty of pictures of him wet, and you can tell he isn't fat at all. While Breed standard is 25-35 pounds, I have seen a couple fit corgis get to 40+ pounds. Namely, Spencer's dad and uncle were both 45+ pounds and liked to catch rabbits on their farm for dinner instead of kibble.
