Written on the day we said goodbye to our first Corgi....little Bailey. June 9, 2008

Dear little Bailey-Mae-

Thank you for coming into our home, even for just the brief time that you did. You made us so very happy, and we both felt things for you that we haven't felt in a very long time, and guess what? The struggle you were going thru brought Mommy and Daddy closer together!!! Thank you!

You were so cute and fun and smart and you were a very good girl! We especially liked how easy it was for you to whine your way out of your crate in the middle of the night to snuggle with us in bed, and how you played "chase the kitty." Your little bark was adorable, and your puppy kisses are truly missed.

I am sorry that you were so sick, and that we didn't realize it sooner. I hope you know that we did not mean to make you suffer and that we tried to give you the best care possible.

We will never, ever forget you, or how much you have meant to us. We waited so long for you to come home to us, it seems unfair to have to let you go so soon. No other puppy will ever, ever replace you. I know you are happy in Corgi Heaven.....don't ever stop playing, ok little girl? I think even the kitty's are missing you (well, maybe just old crotchety mother-hen Snoogers!).

Be good little Bailey-Mae-Roxy-Foxy. We loved having you with us and we love you!

Comment by Laura Jones on November 5, 2008 at 2:59pm: How sad! That is one of the reasons why I am so happy that the breeder I got KC from was someone that I have known for literally years. And I know how well they take care of and love their dogs. I am so sorry for your loss.

Comment by Nichole on November 4, 2008 at 2:13am: Our first Corgi, Bailey died from PARVO related complications as well as a GIARDIA infection. She began showing signs of her illness within 2 DAYS of bringing her home, and despite the efforts of 3 different VETS, and around the clock care....she was gone within 9 days of having her. We were sold a SICK puppy. And to this day, cannot reach the breeder we purchased her from. Be VERY careful whom you obtain your pets from!!!!!!
