I write magazine articles (although not for a while now) mostly in horse magazines and was an assistant editor for a magazine. Then years as a public information officer and now, I'm working on a fiction piece. I am semi-retired. It is an interesting transition from non-fiction to fiction. Time will tell how this goes!!
It is fun to "meet" another corgi person who also is creative and illustrates books. Where can I find some of your illustrations?
Hi Laurie, I tried sending you b-day balloons but somehow they were sent to me instead of you. I wrote to Sam to see if he can correct it. But, I wanted you to know I was thinking of you and wishing you (or maybe one of dogs, wasn't sure whose b-day it was) a great day and a happy, healthy year.
Charm is just getting started. He's been riding with me on SAR call-outs for a while, but he's just getting used to being a "real" therapy dog. His visit to a children's cancer ward went well for him, not so much for the wife. He loves SAR calls, though. My beeper goes off and he's up and ready to go!
That picture is great! My dream was to be a children's book illustrator. I was an art major in college but life overtook me and I worked in the Insurance industry for many years before retiring. I am afraid I stopped doing any art work but the corgis are inspiring!
Welcome Laurie, Lucielle, Ruby and Stumpy! Sidney is also a therpay dog, visiting seniors. When he sees me grab his short (4-foot) leash, he knows he's going to work!
I hope you will post some pictures of your pups...

Laurie,
I love your illustrations! They are beautiful and whimsical...you are amazing! Thank you for sharing your website. Wow! You must stay very busy.
Your corgis are probably very creative too!
