Hi John :)  No special saddle, Bevy just knows how to sit in one.  Just like how we can get 4 Corgis on one small 4-wheeler.  Their balance is AMAZING!!!  We have lots of trees here, we live in the Bull Mountains and there are pine trees all over the place.  However, I keep a toddler swimming pool out for them because all 3 black headed tris spend time in it because they get hot.  When they aren't working they "shade up" on the cool grass under bushes and trees in the yard.  Last few days have been in the 80's and neither the dogs nor their PEOPLE are used to it!!!  The humidity is almost unbearable since we have relatively low humidity but with the rains and flooding it's not fun.  When they are working, they will find the closest pond and cool off...tomorrow we get to gather and move cows back home.  The doggies will be pretty tired when we are done.  It will be a busy weekend of working cows so will try to take lots of pics/videos of them working.

Oh geeze, totally missed this, John... :D

She's not from the same kennel -- she's actually from Samhain Cardigans. Awesome folks, fantastic about health clearances, and wow, let me tell you, nothing phases her. ;)

Aw, well, hahaha, I've met some Pems I could have sworn were Cardis and some Cardis that wow, look like Pems, yikes. ;) Don't feel bad at all!

Somehow, John, I imagine you like my Jack, who can't sit still for a minute. He's always moving. Otherwise, I might suggest you watch Rafa Nadal now that the clay court season is starting. He's brought a new game to tennis. Clay used to be the most boring of surfaces. No longer. I just suspect he will not have a long career because he plays such a physical game and throws himself into every point. He's not balletic like Federer. OK OK enuf on RN. Now onto RR, who is back to his wild wild ways.   : (

Haha. Rafa Nadal is pretty amazing. A great athlete with an amazing work ethic and something very rare today in a world class athlete, humility. He's been brought up so well by his family and is a rarity. He's also pretty easy on the eye ;)  Jack even allows me to keep a photo of Rafa (not the dog) on the refrigerator. I'm so surprised that no one seems to know his name. He's been the #1 tennis player in the world for quite a while. The only one that could knock Federer out of the spot. He's won all 4 slams and a gold medal at the Olympics. And he's only 24! His name is pronounced like HaHa...RaFa. Nothing terrorist at all about him. However, my little Ricky/Rafa clearly didn't follow in Nadal's footsteps, as I had hoped! But, RR is still a puppy. I have faith in him. So what did you hear about Rafa Nadal? I guess his win at Barcelona.

Hey John! Thanks for all the comments on Ashton's adventures. Ashton's breeder is a wonderful woman named Gloria Danielsen in Woodinville. Her contact info is on the Cascade PWC Club's website. We are on her list to get a little girl when she has her next litter. The last litter she had was Ashton's which was over two years ago. They are going to be tri colors like Al and Gwynn and I can't wait!! :D

Hello John! Thanks for the lovely comment! I think they are pretty fantastic, even when pushing me to the extreme limit of tolerance :) Can you believe they were both unwanted dogs????? As for the tail, I LOVE it. I wish more corgis got to keep their tails. I rarely see see other BHT either and he has a full black head, not even the white strip. I think he knows this and feels superior to other dogs in general ;) He acts that way anyways!

I love looking at your pictures. I hope to one day move to a place where I have access to such beautiful surroundings!

Yes John, you are right, 100% pure breed Pems with Tails.  I was going to have my Vet crop their tail until the vet asst said, "just use a whiteout fluid to mark where you want the tail docked at."    : O  ???????  OMG!  I thought to myself!

I am not ignorant, I know the old fashion way was done with ties to the tail..but since I do not know the proper healthy way to do it, definently not the vet's way...yikes!  I check the internet, talk about inhumane goodness gracious.  Since I read that there is only a small window of 3 days to have those tails done...I couldn't find someone to do the tails properly I figured, I have no plans to 'Show them', put them out to work with a herd but just love them..they are keeping their tails.  So far those tails tons of expression of love and happiness.  Best yet, the tails entertain them...they chase their own tail all the time.

Your dogs are beautiful, you have amazing pics.  Can't believe how will they do with camping, what does your corgis do when you have the vacuum going?

Corgis are so beautiful with snow, it's like they love snow, mine plays so hard in the snow I can't get them back in the house.  I got 4 more Crogis, 1 Cardigan and 3 more Pems, yes that makes 7 and I know..I am crazy.

John

Thanks for the email and the questions which we are pleased to answer.

The pups all held their tails up when excited even our Angel. Mostly when Angel is in the ring the tail is held in show mode low - she just does it. Michael sometimes hold his up at show but even he mostly holds them low.

One couple who had the first pup we sold say that they didn't know what to expect when they got him home but as he grew and grew to play with their older corgi they noticed the lead that the tail had.

One comment Dorothy made was that you can see Pandy when he plays in the shrubbery by where his tail is by the white tip on the end of it.

We was living in Ireland when we had our two litters and could legally have docked the tails ourselves (I did the dew claws) but we cannot show them here.

The problem here is that most of the old breeders have either stopped breeding Pems because of the tail ban or just got old. There are so few being bred here although we were contacted by a farmer here in Pembs last night who has just had a litter of five. I just might sneek out and see them.

send me an email on balletcor

to have a better talk.

Yes, it's very sad about Laika's mission having no plan for re-entry. The scientist in my understands that sometimes sacrifice of animals is the only way for scientific advancement but I don't think satisfying our curiosity of space is a justifiable scientific advancement. My sister recently fought of lymphoma though, which makes me more open to the idea of animal testing for medical advancement.
I've heard there's actually a couple of statues of Laika around Russia and she's honored in a few museums. I believe Belka and Strelka were the first two dogs to safely go into space and come back down. Strelka I think even had puppies after her mission (I almost named Laika Strelka) and there recently was a Russian animated kids film about Belka and Strelka. I'll have to watch it sometimes with my little nephew, haha

Thanks for the comment! :) Why yes, Laika is named after the astronaut! Its so sad that she died in space :( but I thought I'd honor her, since she was the first living being to go into space. Orion's name was actually almost Sirius when I got him, but I settled on Orion, so when I got Laika I figured her name would be fitting

Hahaha it looks good! I was out of the country and just got back otherwise I would have sent one for some photoshop work. I'm no good with photoshop myself. I wouldn't even know how to switch eye colors. Honestly, I don't even know that I have the program on my computer. I hope you had an eventful April Fools. :)
