Suspense builds to a dramatic denouement at the ending!
Note the thin wisps of mist -- this is moist marine air beginning to rise over the mountains, condensing right at the Cascade crest -- they will grow and grow into cumulus clouds that will obscure most of the sky by afternoon. The thin low clouds just under the sun (at 0:37) are at Cady Pass, the ancient route across these mountains. You can't see it in this light, but at 0:43 in the white bowl below us, 52-5400', is a very recent large slab avalanche, very unusual for June.

Thanks John, because of you I get to see the mountains without the long walk!

I could almost hear Gwennie say "Hey! How about a little privacy here!"

This view is absolutely breathtaking. And Al (or Gwynnie) left part of himself/herself on the top! Have you ever hiked in Central Oregon? We have some pretty spectacular scenery, so different (yet still fundamentally the same) from where you hike. We have Three Sisters wilderness area, Mt Bachelor, Broken Top, so many more...all beautiful areas. There is also the high dessert. Ron and I are not hikers, we admire from a distance. Do you ever encounter wild critters? What a privilege to have the opportunity to be part of this vast wilderness. (Don't you wonder how long it will stay intact).

What lucky dogs! That wasn't one of them telling us what they thought of you taking a video of them was it?
