There's a special pleasure to hand-feeding garbanzo-sized wild blueberries to a hungry dog, but they soon figure out the system.
This is the best berry crop I've ever seen. Ripe blueberries and huckleberries are harder to get through than blackberries. A serious impediment to progess.
Last year the berry crop failed and the bears were moving rocks, looking for ants underneath. That's hunger.

What a cute smarty-pants!! Algy waits for you to pick them first, or he goes for your bucket. She could teach him a thing or two!!
