I now have a destructive puppy on my hands. Whether through boredom, or sheer wanting to know if things taste good, she has been eating or munching on the the randomest things.

It started Monday with realizing that she can now reach the toilet paper roll. I had a long day, and unfortunately was only able to spend a short amount of time with her between work and classes, when normally that isn't true. So I warrant it to her not being used to being cooped up in one room all day long and her thinking, "Hey, I wonder what that tastes like."

Thankfully that's pretty much all she did with it - so clean up was easy and in no way gross, because I've had that experience with a previous dog before. To get her to understand that that was wrong though took some doing - I had to catch her in the act. She tried again the next day as I was watching - the little sneak. Naughty puppy!

It's still a work in progress for that one, definitely not leaving the TP in its rightful place when she's alone and I'm out, but... for training purposes it stays put.

The other thing was - she discovered the cat food! She's been ignoring it this entire time - so I honestly (and I'll admit naively) thought that she knew that that wasn't her food. Oh no, she now just goes after - "Food? Food? I can eat it? Oooh food? Let me eat it before mommy finds me."

She had been playing nicely with her toys, but it got very quiet all of a sudden when I started hearing "crunch crunch crunch" coming from the cat bowl area. Misty was with me being spoiled, so I assumed it was Chowder. But I looked because it was too quiet - it was LUNA, chowing away, as quickly as possible (probably knowing it was wrong) on the cat food. Naughty puppy!

Cat bowls have been moved to higher areas. Geez!

This morning I found that she's been going after my robe.... so that can't be kept on the door hook in the bathroom anymore.

What's good is my reaction to most of these is laughter. Yes, it's annoying and a little frustrating, but I'm finding it hilarious all at the same time. Luna is showing me she's got an iron tummy I suppose. She must, as she is now up to 10 pounds. So much for hopes that she'd be a petite corgi.

Random shot of her playing with our neighbor dog Billie, whose shirt she's currently wearing. It states "Trouble #1"

Well, I bet that was a sight for sore eyes! :)  I had a cat who used to unroll and shred all the TP in my house so I knew not to let Jon and Dewi anywhere near it.  Unfortunately, they have taken to chewing up bigger and better things.  It's interesting that we (corgi parents) find humor in puppy destructiveness, but boy, they can be funny!

Teresa I'm hoping that that will be true of Luna too, but who knows with these corgis? Either way she certainly makes life more interesting!

The pics are hilarious!  My pups chewed on everything, rugs, walls, shoes, jeans, anything that they could reach.  Once they left puppyhood that all stopped.  (Thank goodness)!

Aweee Luna!

Both pics made me laugh but the second one is priceless!

Good luck with disciplining her--Chewie's right on her tail(bone)!

As soon as I opened the door Teagan went running under the bed. She knew she had done wrong and went to her safe zone!

Now that Poopdeck is 1 /12, I thought his chewing days were over.  He has been very good at saving his chewing for hooves, bones, and Nylabones......but then............I came home to find some Christmas decorations fell victim to the relentless jaws of a Corgi.  All I have to do is call him over to the carnage and ask if he was the one responsible, of course we already know who the responsible party is!  He's the guy trotting off to his crate for a self imposed time out.

II just came home to Teagan, my younger Tri, destroying my wife new digital camera. She managed to pull it of the coffee table. Get it out of the case and eat the top off. She in the past has tore up things you wouldn't even think she would have the least bit of interest in. We've come home to ceramic candle holders, TV Remotes (More than a few) and now the camera all destroyed. I wasn't even gone that long. Maybe a hour so it wasn't out of boredom.I guess it's a Corgi thing!
