When I was a kid my parents raised and showed corgis, so I grew up with them. We lost our last girl when I was around 10....and for over 20 years I had wanted another so badly (but knew it was all about timing). My partner and I lucked out when we found Maxine last December...and she has been such a joy. I love their expressive faces, little stubby legs, and how charismatic they are!

OOps that pic is big!! Not sure how to make it a thumbnail. We decided to get another dog after out husky/lab mix passed away. We waited a few years, and my daughter thought corgis were cute. I did too, & we wanted a smaller dog that wasn't foo foo. We got Chloe at 6 weeks old! What a chewer she was. She is 2yrs 3 mos, & she is so much fun, playing frisbee & swimming in the bay. I'm so glad we chose a corgi!

So I was at the puppy store checking out puppies, no intention of buy (of course that wasn't a realistic expectation) and saw my first corgi. I had no idea what a corgi was but he was so adorable. He looks like a little German Shepherd. I asked to see him and when they brought him to me, I gave him a big hug and he just nuzzled his little in my neck on my shoulder. It was love at first sight. I put a deposit on him so I can hold him for a day until I went home and figured out how I was going to afford to buy him. When I read more and more about the breed, I just kept falling in love more and more. I like that they are such big personalities in little packages...THey are so loveable. I'm with you Alicia & Orlando, I just love looking at them. I didn't want him to be alone so I decided to get him a companion and here comes Rosalie...Such a different personality but very loving :)

 

They make me so happy and brighten every day for me!
