does your dog have a spot to pee/poo in the yard? how did you train them to do it?

we put up snow fence when we first moved blocking off the back of our yard because there was too much snow to see if the fence in the back was corgi proof, and once the snow started melting she starting going under it and peeing/pooping behind it. which is great since the fence is fine, but everytime i take it down she pees/poos on the deck and everywhere else, its such an eyesore but i like everything beeing in one place. any suggestions on how you trained your dog to pee/poop in one spot?

Get a yard stick and plant it to the area where you want her to go, collect her poop and urine, smear it on the stick, consistently bring her back to the same spot for the next couple of weeks and that's it :)
Sam's idea sounds like it should work if you take her out on leash to the "poo stick" area and make sure she poops there. Maybe she'll do it without a leash, but you may have to enforce the new area on a leash since she's in the habit of choosing the deck.

Charlie had two preferred areas of the backyard until he was about 6 months old, so I never tried to train him to a particular spot. Around 6 months, he started pooping only on our walks and doesn't want to poop anywhere in the yard anymore. He poops 3 times in 45 minutes on the first half of our walk, then he's done until the next day. I carry poop bags that end up in his covered "diaper pail" in the backyard until trash day...he might as well be pooping in the backyard, since I carry it back anyway. LOL
