Dexter is a Pembroke Welsh Corgi, 2 years old, fixed and current on
shots.  He needs a good home without small children.  He is house and kennel
trained, will sit, lay down, shake hands, and come in when called.
He's great with my older girls now (8 and 6), but he bit my daughter
on the lip requiring stitches when he was a few months old (she was
4), nipped a 6 year old girl on the nose around the same time, bit my
friend's 2 year old son on the wrist a few months ago, and now is
growling and snapping at my 8 month old. He needs a home with a strong
leader who is willing to do obedience training and has no young kids
in the house. He could have trouble integrating with other pets as he
has not been properly socialized with other animals.

He is very smart and loving, and likes to lay next to or on your feet.
 He usually sleeps on his back - so cute!  He can be obedient when
trained, as he is not allowed up the stairs or to get on the
furniture.  He will go get in his kennel when told to do so, and
sleeps in his kennel at night.  He does not bark in the house, but
loves to bark when he goes outside (chatting with the dogs on either
side of us).  However, he doesn't really like to go outside when it is
cold or wet, or the grass is too high.

He is very playful and loves to play chase with us in the house, and
will take turns as to who is 'it'.  His favorite items are the squeaky
toys, especially his pink octopus, and rawhide chews.

We live in Newport News, Virginia, and I am willing to drive a few hours to give him a great home.  We love him very much and hate to part with him.
