I would expect to pay $800-1200 for a puppy from health tested, titled parents.

The chances of finding the perfect puppy in the same city you live is pretty slim to be honest. You're probably going to have to drive.

I'm addicted to petfinder.com and am always getting on and looking for corgis.  This is a listing for a puppy in Leander, TX.  There's no picture so I have no idea if it is a mix or not.

petfinder is great wish they add more features on it to make sure customers don't get scammed or find a way to make sure when they purchase a puppy that it is from a reputable breeder.

Petfinder is for homeless dogs usually in shelters or rescues.

Not to sound mean or judgmental or anything, but probably 95% of the breeders on puppyfind are backyard breeders from what I've seen. There are a few good ones on there (few and far between) but you really have to be careful.

We got our corgi while we were in Austin, and the only breeder I know of is Overo corgis. I inquired about puppies from the breeder (she holds an annual corgi picnic) but she said that they cost $1200 - $1500, which was too much for us.

 

We ended up getting our corgi from a lady breeding corgis on a ranch in Oklahoma :P. Our breeder sometimes drives down to Dallas to deliver puppies but she doesn't do genetic testing or anything on her puppies.

My breeder is in Aubrey (North of Dallas), and Emmy was $500. Full buyback health guarantee for life. Great job with docking and she got her first set of shots and dewormed 3 times before I got to pick her up.
