Okay, got Kassie back from her spaying and she won't eat her dog food. It's been two days since her surgery. She'll eat anything (roast beef, tuna, etc.) accept her dog food. The vet said sometimes this happens and to mix the people food in with her dog food, but even when I did that she just picked out the tuna and spit out her food! (what a smart dog, I thought the whole time, as my kitchen floor was littered with kibble) Also, I don't want her to get use to anything but dog food. Is it normal for her to not want to eat, not that personally I would wanna eat that stuff.

from the stories ive read on this site, a dog will never starve itself. She's recovering - but it sounds like shes willing to eat - just being extra stubborn or picky. I would not give her people food at all, only put down kibble. She'll eat it eventually - whether in 2 or 3 days - shell get hungry. But.. if she starts to lose weight, then I'd start worrying.

good luck!!
yeah, i agree with Karen. adding people food is probably only adding to the fact that she isnt eating her kibble. most corgis will not starve themselves. so just wait it out, she probably still isnt feeling too great about the surgery.
