So, I just got a new temp job for the next few months and I started this week. Also, my boyfriend went out of town for a few days and is back tonight. \

My new job's hours are from 8pm to 5am. Before the job, I used to stay up until about 4am anyway, so now the only thing thats changed is that I am awake for a few more hours and I'm gone instead of at home. While I was at work and my boyfriend was gone, I had my sister come over and let the dogs out for a bit and let them go potty.

Yet, somehow, when i got home they had both pooped in the kennel and my dachshund had pulled some clothing into it. It was runny and very messy. I let them out at 6am and then went to bed for the day. The dogs woke me up 4 more times after that b/c they pooped or vomited in the room. I thought maybe they were a little sick or had too much food to eat, so I fed them only about a quarter of what I normally do and gave them lots of water. I was hoping it would calm down their tummies, but of course, I came home this morning and they did it again! I let them out twice before going to bed this morning and they still woke me up every few hours b/c they had done something in the room again.

So I'm wondering if they are actually a bit sick or if they are just upset with me for not being around? I know that dachshunds have issues with change and act out b/c of it, but do corgis? Im home for the weekend so hopefully they stop torturing me!

my guess would definitly be sick. i would go see the vet.
Any big change in your life is going to change their life. Loose stools can be caused by many things including eating something that doesnt agree with them, change in "potty" routines, stress and the list goes on. If this continues it may be good to see a vet. Just do remember dogs dont understand job changes, people leaving for extended periods of time and will need time to adjust. Your job is to make it as easy as possible and make sure they are not ill. Good luck.
changing schedule could cause this, your dog simply don't know your new schedule, so it may take a little adjustment to adapt. be consistent and they'll learn to hold and do what is expected from them.
