Our Corgi will lick the ears of the other dogs for hours on end, turning them red. Why does he do this? Do all Corgi's do this? Why do the other dogs let him do this? If someone else tells me their Corgi does this, I'll sleep better at night. If my husband or I get on the floor (as his legs are too short to be able to get on any furniture so he can't "get us" unless we're on the floor), he'll lick us on the face, taking great care to get the ears, eyes, nose, and mouth. Is he giving us a Corgi bath? I'm convinced he's going loopie on us.

Yes, mine does that too, I see it as a way of being submissive, vienna will take do that to clean mocha, when we're on the floor, we're also get the same treatment.
Kitty does this to our lab,Chance, often and she cleans her eyes, too. Chance seems to enjoy the whole process. When my honey is lying on the floor,Kitty loves to lick his face, eyes and facial hair. It has become quite a production.
Lance loves to lick the feet of our guests and also will lick our feet nonstop or hands as well.
Chloe's loves to lick feet too!! Its so funny. Its not funny when she comes to lick our face after she does that though.
Its just a way of bonding and grooming... Dogs just do the weirdest things?!
lol, thanks everyone. I'm watching Apocalypse "get" my husband right now. It's nice to know that it's not only ours. Thanks!
Bailey loves ears! and feet! haaha... but he's not obcessive about it.. but then again I haven't laid on the floor enough to figure out if he'd stop himself.
