Very calm Corgi puppy, is this normal?

Cooper is a 11 week old male Pembroke Welsh Corgi and he is extraordinarily calm for his age. He doesn't nip, or chew what he isn't suppose to, he will play tug and fetch but he will not roughhouse. He will chase me if I run but he won't let me chase him. I guess I should count myself lucky that he is so well-behaved but my Corgi, Hercules, was very different as a puppy. He was nippy and rambunctious, if you were sitting he would gain speed and then jump on you propelling himself across the room. He grew up to be such a personality! Cooper is such a gentleman that I am worried he won't have the vibrant personality that I loved so much in my Hercules.

Yeah, same with Cooper. The times he is most lively are when he is outside or when he is taking a car ride. He tries to put over half his little body out the window! When indoors he mostly likes to chew on his bone and nap. We have had him for 3 weeks now and I have seen him liven up from day 1. I am very curious to see how his little personality develops. He is only about 12 weeks old, so still a baby. He loves me and follows me around wherever I go, he also loves older children and gets really excited when they are around, but he is a little reserved around some adults, still friendly, but a little shy. Nonetheless, I am very proud of my sweet little corgi and I wouldn't trade him for the world!

How long have you had Cooper? Johann was very calm his first week at home (got him at 8 weeks) and after that all hell broke loose, lol. Cooper's still young- his personality will develop as he ages! Enjoy him while he's little :)

I have had him about 3 weeks now. he has warmed up a lot from day 1 but he is still very calm and well-mannered. I love him though and I now understand from all of the helpful comments on this forum that some Crogis are like that and it is normal. =)
