Tootsie is gone

My baby was staying with a dog sitter while I left on vacation last Thursday...she got away from the sitter and was hit and killed by a school bus on Friday. I am so devastated - she was only two years old...I can't imagine life without her...

Oh my goodness, I am so sorry for your loss.

Last year I went on a 2 day vacation for the first time in about 6 years. I had a relative watching my dog (a 12-year-old golden). The first night he didn't feel like eating. He did this occasionally so we thought it was no big deal. The next morning he died. I was so upset and felt so guilty for leaving him. The only thing that helped me was thinking about how it's not over for him and he will be in a happy place where he has no worries, fears or illnesses. I truly believe that our pets are waiting for us.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Several years ago I lost a New Foundland that was just over a year old. I did not think I would ever stop crying. They are our babies and we feel their loss just as we would for any member of our family. My thoughts and prayers go out to you.
