Sophie got spayed on Wednesday and from the second she got  home from the vet she has been so sassy.  She is into everything, things she never did before, and things she used to do have gotten worse.  I am hoping this is because we cant walk her like we where until she heals. Has anyone else  had them behave so badly after their surgery.  Do you all agree its just pent up energy, or is it a typically 6 month old rebel coming out?

Don't worry, this has nothing to do with the spaying and is actually an indication she is doing and feeling quite fine.  If she does not do a lot of pulling, I would take her for a couple of short walks without too much excitement ( like going around the same block ) and see if that helps. What you want to avoid is running, jumping, hard pulling and a lot of stairs.  If you're not comfortable doing this, some car rides may provide variety.

Lucy went bonkers after the second day following her spay. She definitely was missing her walks. Because she has to go out to go the bathroom, I did take her out a little on short walks. But she gets so excited when she ses anyone and any other dog that she starts pulling and jumping. The vet also helped by giving me some mild tranquilizers for her at least the first few days so she wouldn't pull any stitiches (esp. internal ones). I really couldn't wait until I could resume her longer walks!
