Help! Ella is chewing the drywall!

A few weeks ago, Ella had chewed a small dime size hole in our drywall by the front door. If I have to go out, I've been leaving chew toys all over the house and she was doing good until today. I came home after only being gone for an hour and a half, to find a large hole in the drywall again! I don't know why she does this. Is it boredom? Before I leave, I take her for a walk, give her a bone with a little cheese in it and she has toys and her friend, Maverick. I hate to crate her every time I go outside but it looks like I'm going to have to. Anyone else have this problem with your corgi? She has also chewed the corner molding. I will try to post a couple pics. Thanks for any advice!

Noodles did this as well, but at that time, we still lived in an apartment. We thought once he was potty trained, that we could trust leaving him out and boy were we wrong. He ended up being put back in his crate after the 2nd time and it wasn't until he was 1.5 (when he decided he was too big for his crate) that he ended up getting freedom of the house (we moved to a house in that time). He has been out ever since and he is almost 7. I became really good at patching drywall holes, but that isn't something I like to brag about. My thought is way too much freedom for her being so young.

Maybe we should all start a "drywall eating Corgi" group! Thanks for your reply! I'm crating her now until she gets a little older. I thought since she was in the house with her friend, my shepherd, she would be content but obviously I was wrong there. I have never patched drywall before but today is the day to give it a shot. I'm glad to hear that as they age, they seem to lose the desire to eat walls. By the way, I love the name Noodles!
