I was looking for a way to cut down on Perky's seperation anxiety barking and whining, and I found The Anxiety Wrap and the Thundershirt. I've read reviews on both and decided I like the sound of the anxiety wrap better. I also found a calming face wrap made by the same people as the anxiety wrap. So my question is, can anyone add any pointers on what the best size of anxiety wrap is for a corgi? (I've heard the sizing chart can be a bit off.) Also, did it help cut down on barking and/or seperation anxiety in general? And has anyone tried the calming face wrap and if so what size for your corgi and did you have decent results?

I do not have personal experience with either product, but I looked them up and see that the Anxiety Wrap has been tested by Dr. Nicholas Dodman of Tuft University, who is a top notch  behaviorist, so this is a great endorsement.  I also notice that the face wrap has not been similarly tested, however the price is right to give it a try and iI see no reason not to.  If you do try them, I'd like to know your results.

I tried the Thundershirt on Kirby and am assuming the Anxiety Wrap is a very similar product. The Thundershirt was a complete failure for him. I used it for short periods to introduce it like the package said and he would just freeze up whenever it was on. When I kept it on any longer than 5ish minutes he would try to chew it off. I took it back. I got him a medium and it fit well.

I've never used the face wrap, but we do have a thundershirt and it works pretty well on Luke to control his anxiety and barking when new people come over to the house. Ours is a medium and fits my pem and cardi fine (~30 and ~40 lbs).

If you look on the Anxiety Wrap website you will see a sizing chart with directions. The sizing chart for the Anxiety Wrap is not "a bit off." I don't know where you read this, but that is not true. I use the Anxiety Wrap on my own dog and as a professional dog trainer who works regularly with dogs with anxiety and fear, I recommend the Anxiety Wrap on a frequent basis. It comes in 11 different sizes and can be custom-sized if necessary for dogs that weight less than 5 pounds or more than 90 pounds.

I would recommend that you keep the adjustable and detachable rear end calming straps on your Corgi for the best fit as well as the best benefit. Sometimes people toss them aside, myself included but they actually are very useful in that the straps create rear end awareness and help release tension. Look on YouTube for different ways you can use the straps. I wish I still had the ones that came with the Anxiety Wrap I ordered for my own dog several years ago.

The Calming Face Wrap is an amazing product. It is simple but highly effective. I have used it most frequently on dogs with anxiety barking and it works like magic. Every single dog I have put it on has ceased barking and become very calm with great focus! I used it recently on my Golden Retriever who has no anxiety but is just squirrely about grooming and she stopped squirming around for me to be able to brush her. Again, there is a sizing chart on the Anxiety Wrap website, so I would recommend referring to it when ordering the product.

You can leave the Anxiety Wrap on your dog in your absence, but I wouldn't leave the Face Wrap on your dog. Check with the manufacturer to see what they recommend.
