Sparty has been more and more depressed lately and having trouble getting around so we made the decision to end his suffering tonight. He had a nice dinner with bacon on it and my wonderful vet came over so we could let Sparty go while looking out our front window (a favorite activity). He is buried in the woods behind our house. He loved walks in the woods! It leaves a huge hole in my life, he was so special to me but at 13 with progressive cancer Sparty really had a good life.

I'm so sorry for your loss! Sparty sounded like a wonderful companion, who was extremely well taken care of. I'm comforted that he went in peace, surrounded by his human parents in a serene setting.
I joined this group a week ago after our Pembroke Winston passed away. It's been so wonderful reading about other great Corgi owners and looking at all the pictures. It's sad when they pass on, and now because of what I just read about Sparty I'm sitting her sobbing with tears streaming down my face, but it's comforting to know that other people are going through what we just went through. To have so many years with our dogs that we love SO MUCH, we have to lose them in the end, and it's hard, but it's worth it. It gets a little easier as each day goes by, but it's still so sad. Bev, from looking at all your photos and reading your comments I just have to say your dogs are the luckiest pets in the world ! God bless you and I pray your sadness will be lightened a little each day. Joyce Randall/Pikeville, TN
May the memory of the years you had together fill the hole you have in your heart tonight. A heartfelt hug from me.
I'm so sorry... I was hoping he would have more time. But then again it's never long enough for us ;-< Sending corgi hugs your way.
Bev, I'm so very sorry that Sparty has gone to the Bridge.
Fare the well, Sparty. You were a Very Good Dog.
Bev, I am so sorry; I admire your strength.
