Buddy Has Crossed The Rainbow Bridge

I haven't posted on here much lately, as Buddy's health rapidly declined after he was diagnosed with HGE. Later this year, I noticed him sort of dragging his back paws when he walked, scraping his toenails on the concrete....He was diagnosed with DM. He did well for a few months, with the use of a cart, but on 9-20-12, we had to make the decision to allow him to cross The Rainbow Bridge. Many heartfelt thanks to all of you who listened and commented on our stories. Buddy was a very special boy who will forever hold a special place deep in my heart.

I am so sorry for your loss. I had a corgi, Rusty die from DM too. Buddy is running now.

It's never an easy decision, no matter the circumstances. We are so sorry for your loss, may your broken heart heal, though you will never forget your furbaby, Buddy.

I'm so sorry to hear about Buddy. I lost my corgi, Betsy, a year ago to DM. It's a horrible disease. If and when you're ready to get another, there are breeders out there who test for it and will only breed if the parent is clear or a carrier. I just brought home a little boy, Ziggy whose father is clear and mother is a carrier, so he'll not be at risk. The breeder is in Kentucky. Let me know if you want more information. There are ways to stop this disease. It may take time, though.

I am so sorry to hear about poor Buddy. You gave him several very good years and I am sure he knew that and was grateful with his entire Corgi heart. And we all know how large a Corgi's heart is.
