I have all these plans detailed and thought out...well I'm at my daughters babysitting the grand kids with Wynn. This AM I let their Bull Terrier out with Wynn and I hear a bit of a warning growl from Wynn. He came back on 3 legs:(  Not sure what happened. My 1st thought was take him to the vet BUT I have 2 kids under 5 and NO car seats. He is doing better after an hour and putting weight on his leg but I think I will call my vet and see what they have to say as my husband could pick up something for when I get home tonight...I always think I'm prepared with crates, doggie emergency bag in the car and anything I think I might need whether for my dogs or a stray. Guess I never planned on this to happen.

Thanks! I called the vet and they are ordering Previcox(?) for him my hubby will pick it up for me since we won't be home till later. He's using the leg but you can still see it's bothering him some. It didn't help when the 2 year old grabbed his ear either:(

Hope he is OK! Unfortunately we can't think of everything!

I don't think it's a bite I think the dog jumped as she does and maybe landed on him. He's using it somewhat now...Maybe he was scared and protecting his leg at 1st??????

Feel better Wynn!   It is hard to always plan for every scenario.  Healing Vibes being sent Wynns way.  :)

I meant "bite wound" not "would". Silly typos.

I'd make sure to get him to the vet once you are able to get away, though; a bite would to a tendon could be easily missed by you and could go septic in a hurry....

Have you tried a cold pack on his leg?

Jane....I so hope Wynn will be ok.  You always think you are prepared but some things you can't and how are you suppose to take the kids without carseats.  Please let us know how Wynn (and you) are doing.
