Congrats on your new pup!!
I also would definately work on crate training, it will keep your pup safe when you aren't able to supervise, whether your home or not.
First time corgi, and first dog too? Congrats either way! :) I'm still on a waiting list for my corgi, but it will be my second dog. I wish that someone had told me about how to train dogs before I got my first, so I'm going to recommend you start watching some training tutorials before the puppy even gets home. A well trained dog makes having one a joy instead of a chore. There are lots of free training tutorials online, and this is my favorite channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/kikopup She uses a clicker to train and her methods are based in cognitive science. Her techniques are so gentle that you can start right away with your puppy. You'll have a head start on other puppies if you decide to take obedience classes (also recommend!), and you can head off behaviors like nipping which is common for corgis.
