My 7 month old Pembroke Welsh Corgi ate a whole plate of pork lo mein that my son left on a low coffee table. :( (she also tore up the paper plate it was on - we found the pieces on the floor, and the food gone).
Do you think she will be OK?
Thanks.

I would watch her. Kenny( who is 13 weeks old at the time, now 14 weeks) got into several persimmons which are bad for dogs. My best advice is just to monitor her.
OK, thanks. That's what I will do. I am hoping she will not need to see emergency vet. She seems OK (it was around 2 hours ago) and am trying to get her to drink plenty of water. So your Kenny wound up being OK with the persimmons?
He did. He just had seeds in his feces. My boyfriend wasn't watching close enough at the time when it happened. He'll be getting his last series of shots on the 13th so I'll ask the vet to check. Have you looked online for any help?
I wish I was more experienced to help you!
Yes, I think I will do some research online. Oh, I am so glad your puppy was able to process the seeds and had no real damage. Thanks for your input - most appreciated! :)
I am glad too! And you're welcome!
Tell me how it goes with her! :)
She should be ok but will probably be very thirsty from the salt. She might vomit or have diarrhea. You may be in for a long night. :-(
Pork lo-mein is not super high in fat (I don't think) so the chances of it causing a serious reaction like pancreatitis shouldn't be too high. At least I wouldn't think so.
Thanks so much. And yes, I am trying to give her as much water as she will take.
Luckily, this was a paper plate of some leftover lo mein, and it was not a big, heaped or heavy plate - so it's not as though she ingested a huge portion. I will try and take her out an extra time before bed, and put puppy pads down if she does have diarreha. Thanks again.
Thanks for asking,, Beth: She is OK, actually, did not even have diarrhea! She had plenty of water and is back on her normal feed and A-OK ....thank you, and thanks to all for your help! :-)
