I think that my dog is left pawwed...
She leads with her left, digs with her left first, manipulated toys with her left and shakes with her left. When she chews, it's predominately with the left side.
Does anyone else have a lefty corgi?
I found this out many years ago when Jinksy spun counterclockwise and Chiffon spun clockwise. Now which is right pawed and which is left pawed I have no idea but it was pretty funny to watch them do their mixmaster act.
My youngest favors his left I've noticed when I'm doing any type of paw training. My older dog is now comfortable using both paws equally since I've been working with her for a while but she started on her left side too.
I don't know about dogs, but my experience with horses has taught me that they are left-sided. When they canter, the last foot to go down in the stride is going to be a front foot (this is referred to as the "lead"). They are much more comfortable with the left lead than the right, and this is true for most horses. They are usually more flexible to the left, as well. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised to learn that four-legged animals generally are lefties.
