Well, hello everyone. It has been a long time. My situation has improved. Still have Kissy, now almost 12. She is OK, not well but still ok.
As some of you may recall, my first postings were about our Corgi named Corgi. We are about to lose her. She had double sided FHO surgery when she was 2 yrs old. This will be six years in May, but she has complications with her left knee. The vet did an extensive check up and came to find out that her knee has bone spurs. The poor little thing is in constant pain now so much so where she can't even function any longer. She whimpers and cries and nothing the vet can do other than give her pain medication which no longer help. This is killing us. It came on from one day to the next. She will be 8 years old in May. Corgi and her sister Brooke came from a puppy mill, I am sure of it. Brooke has some arthritis but is hanging on. I had to post this just to get it off my chest. We cannot keep her in this pain, so no other choice but saying good bye to our beloved Corgi. I can't stop crying. A good friend just lost her Corgi to cancer last week. Coda was only 4 years old. We have spent $5,000 in the last few months alone and the funds are running out. I am praying so hard for our little girl. If there is a doggie heaven, Corgi will surely get in. Could not ask for a sweeter pup.

Thanks for listening.

Lottie, if she already had surgery on both knees, amputation is probably not an option; the good leg would break down again in no time.
Marianne, I am so sorry that you have to say goodbye to your beloved Corgi. You gave her several happy years she may not otherwise have had, and I know it's hard to say goodbye but what she remembers is that she was happy with you.

Lots of Corgi hugs for you.
