I am trying to teach eero some tricks, and he's got many of the basics down (sit, stand, down, leave it, drop it, etc.) but he can't seem to get roll over. I usually tell him to go down and then start moving his treat up near his side to try to get him to follow but it just doesn't seem to work. Any advice? Also "bang" is *the* most amazing trick I've ever seen! I want eero to learn that!

Hopefully the next time we walk, she'll be with us and can show you how she taught him! She really is very good, and at only age 17. She's now teaching him to leave a treat balanced on his nose - OMG he's such a good boy!
Ah, no way! I tried doing this with Theo the other day and he just kept backing away. He's pretty good with leave it, but he doesn't understand I want him to leave it and stay still. Hehe. I would love to do another walk with you guys. Unfortunately, it's gotten pretty hot again. Maybe in the next couple of weeks we can work something out. :)
Koa learned the "bang trick" fairly quickly, only instead of using the command bang we say "Relax"! It is so funny to see him laying on his back smiling!
Bella learned bang for my daughter's birthday! Now my granddaughter points her little finger and tries to say "bang" - but Bella doesn't see a treat in her hand so she just looks at me like "do I have to?" I found directions on another corgi site and it worked really fast!
When your pup is in a down, put the treat at their nose, and lure it around the side of their body. it will force them to roll to their side, then you just keep luring all the way over from there.

This seems to be a pretty good video i found on youtube.

Roll over was sooo hard to teach neeka she layed on her back and franticly kicked her leg i would crouch and put the treat on the other side of her head so she would have to turn to look at it...ending up in her rolling over. i still haven't mastered bang, but i taught her high five this week...my all time favorite trick yet she jumps up and gives me a high five lol.
i taught cody bang. it was amazing but now its old and he know better. when he was a puppy i would say bang real loud and point my finger and take my other hand and kinda push him down on the floor. after about an hour of doing this he got the idea and did it. i repeated it everyday and it was great. but now about 9 months later, omgosh, everytime i have a treat, or want him to do a trick, he jus falls down on his back or side and looks at me at the corner of his eye. hes too smart so now time to learn a new trick. i want to teach him "paw" but he doesnt want to. any ideas?
speak is still a problem for us. I feel I've tried everything and the knocking on the door and giving a treat while saying speak when she barks at the door has only taught her bad manners that we are now.. in reverse.. trying to train her not to haha.

We did do BangBang before Roll over just because its easier.. most dogs will just roll over at that point. We used the buddy system for both of em lol.

After playing on the field getting her tired so she would listen we would have her lay down then while one of us gently rolled her over on her belly the other would yell BANGBANG! then give her a treat. After a couple times the other wouldn't roll her over and we would try without help.. if she didnt get it we would go back to the buddy system again.

The same with roll over.. one would roll her over while the other said it.

Then we applied Roll left Roll right by then holding the treat in the direction and giving it when she did it correctly.. which was the same for left paw right paw.

Spin left and right is the same as well.. just lead the pup with the treat in a circle around you saying it eventually they'll do it without having to go around you lol.

Apparently she forgot sit up since she lived with her dad :/ I taught it to her then left and he apparently forgot she could do it :P so I gottah retrain her on that one as well.
