About what age do corgis finally start to settle and act like normal dogs?
Atlas is absolutely insane, I've never met a dog with his energy. I took him to the dog park tonight for two and a half hours, and for most of the time he was wrestling with another dog. I took him home, put him in his crate because I figured he could use some relaxing time. Now he's ready to go again, running shaking his rope toy side to side and shoving it in my face. This dog will not tire out.
Don't get me wrong, I love how playful my dog is, it's one of the main reasons we went with this breed. I'm just wondering about what age your's starting calming down a bit.

Wow, Atlas looks a lot like Sidney!

I think they settle down between 2-3 years, but really, do corgis EVER act like normal dogs?
No, and that's why I love them. But I grew up with two shelties who used to sleep with me at night: one slept on my legs, the other slept with her head on the pillow- the closest thing Atlas ever gets to sleeping with me is sticking a rope toy in my face and growling when I lay in bed.
I think I must have a lazy one then lol. She sleeps right next to me anytime I sit down on the couch or the bed. Although during the day she is always running around and playing with her toys. She will run all day long at the beach if I let her.
Well corgis are very active dogs, they are suppose to be able to run and herd cattle all day! So when they are puppies, they are double hyper because we all know how energetic puppies are! My little girl was going going going all the time when she was a pup, but now that she is almost 2 years old, she's calmer and only is ready to go when we are ready to go. I can walk her for 3-4 hours on a hike and take her back and she's hardly panting and is ready for more!

I think somewhere around 2-3 years is when they start to get a bit calmer. :)
You may want to invest in some puzzle toys for mental and physical stimulation. Doing training with your dog really engages his brain and is tiring too!

Clean Run has some great exercise toys you can use inside and outside. I love the Chase It toy. There are also lots of treat dispensing toys you can use to keep him occupied.

I don't know how old your dog is but some corgis maintain the same amount of energy their entire lives. It depends on the dog.
