We've been talking quite a lot here about the things our corgis do to make us upset or angry, but what does he/she do that just melts your heart or makes you crack up?

I love how Bruce, my corgi/elkhound mix, sometimes sleeps, right on his back with all four paws up in the air. I love how he "talks" in these soft little grunts. I laugh whenever he does what I call "carpet shark", where he pulls himself forward with his front paws while flat on his belly, like he's in stealth mode.

I love how Sidney, the Pembroke puppy, sings in his little wookie voice when we come home. I love it when he fraps. It makes me laugh when he steals something...I have to go retrieve it from him but Is still laugh at his thieving ways.

I think it's so cute how both of them sometimes lay down with their back paws out behind them like a lizard sunning on a rock.

So, what about you guys?

One of our dogs will always kick dirt over his poop. Maybe Vash is trying to so this. I think Bruce is channeling his inner cat, LOL.
Actually, I was thinking the same thing! Perhaps he saw my cat doing it in the litter box and figured it was a good idea. XD
hahaha bear does this! i call it "burying"! he buries all his *ahem* excrements. one of our since passed corgi friends buried EVERYTHING but mostly his bone in the couch... he'd "bury" it where he didn't' think we could find it lol! he'd be so proud of himself when he was done, it was adorable...
My furry child is super silly! He'll do sneaky stuff. When I'm in the shower, he knows I can't just jump after him, so he'll jump on the couch, get my clothes and just lay in it. He makes a giant pile on the floor. It's hilarious. We've trained him to tell us when he needs to go out with some bells by the door. He'll do it sometimes, but most of the time he just takes advantage. he'll ring them right after we take him out just so he can run around outside.

I'll try to put his collar on him to take him out, then he gets super excited and starts running around back and forth in our apartment. I don't know why he does that...just running...doesn't stop. just takes off. it's hilarious. He'll also make this howl sound...almost like a chewbacca. hahahahaa
I know that sound so well...we call it the Baby Wookie! I think it's the cutest sound I have ever heard.
Lola does a million things that I just love and that make me smile everyday like "dolphin nosing" me in the leg when she wants something, but the one that always makes my heart smile is when she lays next to me on the couch and plops her head down on my hand/leg/arm (whatever is closest) and lets out this long, contented sigh and then snuggles in as close as humanly (or I guess, Corgi-ly) possible to me. :)
One of my favorite things that Gibson does is 'give kisses'. We will sit and give each other pecks on the lips for about a minute straight. He sits and looks at me so adorably when we do this and moves his head in to give me kisses every time. Too cute :)
the way my little bear smiles at me makes me feel like i might have done something right in a chaotic world. he might be EXTREMELY hyper and at times hard for others to handle (he just wants to love on eeeeeeeeevvvvvvvveerrrrybodyyyyyyyyyy) but at the end of the day its me and my goober bean, and (just like any other dog owner) i can honestly say i don't know what i would do, where i would be or even WHO i would be without him.

anyways that being said my dog is straight up certifiable. in a good way lol!

whenever he gets happy (and only corgi owners would get this) and he shakes his little nub. we call him the "rump shaker".

we have a laser pointer and wow.... he chases that thing around like satan was on his tail lol... i have never seen someone so little move so fast.

of course, the frapping. hysteric giggles at their finest.

he gets wayyyyyyy too excited and runs into walls when we play fetch. it doesn't hurt him but by God it causes quite a few laughs.

he's not a snuggler... technically (in human years) he's only 13 so he's still in the "moooooooooooooommmmmmmmmmm!!!!! stop kissing me!" phase... but when he wakes up in the mornings he's SUPER cuddly. and of course he loves being around me but there's something about mornings.... the whole "hey, i know you! where did you go, i missed you!!!" in the mornings.

even if i forget to set my alarm, bear is always there to wake me up at 8 am. whether its nipping my fingers, corgi "talking", pouncing, WHATEVER... i've trained him to wake me up no matter the circumstance. and when my alarm goes off, he gets up and makes sure i wake up. nothing like waking up to a smiley corgi...

if he starts "talking" like so many of our corgis do, i'll always answer him back ("what choo talkin about baby?" and "uh huh, tell me more" and "oh really, is that so?") and he always responds.

by the way, do any of your corgis get their stuffed toys and shake them around from one side of the head to the other and over and over and over and over again, just whacking themselves in the head with loofa wonderfulness? lol....might just be my little ball of energy.

and lastly, i'm watching the dog whisperer and thought i would share something i just heard. (i love cesar millan, he's a genius...)

he just said, "remember that your dog is like a mirror, reflecting your own image back at you. whatever you feel he feels".
She always makes me laugh when she begs for food by making this half bark. It kind of goes like "buuurrr". So I'm smiling and laughing while I try and tell her no. Another is when she comes in from outside, she'll race around the living room and maybe bark, sometimes I chase her. My favorite that is new now that she is older is she will nudge my hand to pet her, and keep doing it even after I've been petting her. The look she gives me makes me laugh even though it can be annoying if I'm trying to do something.
hi,

I have to say first that i love this tread!!

second, my girl Glo, she was a Cardigan corgi and she loved to herd dragons. I collect dragons, dragons of most styles and shapes. i bought several wooden dragons that were wind chime type, they flap their wings when the wind would catch them or if someone pulled or pushed on the body. I have them hanging from the ceiling in my bedroom, in a line to the bathroom from the door. well, when Glo was young she noticed them moving one day when she and i walked through the room. i dont know if she noticed my touching them, if thats why she looked up, but whatever prompted it, she started barking and running from one end of the room to the other looking up at them. when they stopped moving she sat down like they were all where they needed to be and she had done her job of herding. I miss that. but for 7 years she made me laugh many time while she herded dragons.
I love how Ofelia will plop down on her back and ask for a belly rub when she knows I'm trying to pick her up to put her in the crate. That's the no.1 thing for her. Also:

- how she stares up at me as she waits for my command for her to eat when I've filled her bowl.
- how she'll drop something she shouldn't be playing with and sniff around as if it just appeared there and she was minding her own business.
- how she likes to lay on my clothes when it's on the floor.
- her wookie yawn and her catlike stretch when she steps out of her crate in the mornings.

And much, much more!
Mine does it! And she gets these little drool droplets on her lips.
