Myles November Update

Myles is nearly back to himself. He has slowed down, due to arthritis. He had additional testing done and it was determined that his 'lame" hind legs likely came from the groomer. the day before he work up lame- my husband took him to the groomer. When my husband picked him up-he saw him fall off the table but he appeared fine at that time so he did not make a big deal out of it.
His additional blood work indicates kidney failure and not one of the diseases. (Addisons or whipworms). He is being treated with a special diet. His kidney funtion results are half of what they were initially which is showing good results.
We did come to the conclusion that this might be our last holiday season with him. We took him to see grandma- who herself is not doing very well. They both had the time of thier life- smiling away. He has always done well with seniors and we take him to nursing homes often - although not a certified therepy dog -he behaves well and loves all the attention.

The Science Diet KD does wonders for Myles. Myles has been our best friend through lots of stressful times in the past 4 years.
We know dogs are best friends to the humans who care for them.

I hope they will also show improvement after being on the special diet. Our old dogs need special love, don't they? And they give so much in return.

I'm sorry to hear about your grandma. It is sweet that Myles loves to be with her. My grandma passed away before we ever got Sidney and Bruce. I think she would have loved them!
