I was outside pulling weeds, when Sheldon my new corgi disappeared into the long grass next door. I saw the tops of the weeds moving as he made his way through the tall weeds. Then, I heard a squeal. It has been a long sad ride to recovery. I look for Myles almost every day. I know he is in a better place, but it does not make things easier. Our Papillon, Madison, is having a really hard time. She still looks for him all the time. She is not resting well. She hops from daddy's lap to mommy's lap and back. Or turns circles trying to find something to do. Her appitite has decreaase. We feel he has a stomach virus. We are waiting out the weekend to see how he does early next week. We realize he is old, and takes longer to get over minor ailments.



I know this sounds bad, but we have no extra money to go to the vet. Hubby is out of unemployment, and all the companies in he area have laid off up to 30 years seniority. Our area is hit hard. Happy Easter Everyone! Myles wanted everyone to know that he is not feeling well again. We hope he gets better soon. He seems to be OK, but he is not active. He pulled out of his last medical issue real well.

Myles is nearly back to himself. He has slowed down, due to arthritis. He had additional testing done and it was determined that his 'lame" hind legs likely came from the groomer. the day before he work up lame- my husband took him to the groomer. When my husband picked him up-he saw him fall off the table but he appeared fine at that time so he did not make a big deal out of it.

His additional blood work indicates kidney failure and not one of the diseases. (Addisons or whipworms). He is… Continue

Myles health hs been going downhill since labor day weekend. During the night on October 31, 2008 we awoke to Myles having convulsions. He was weak, disoriented, shaking, and not responsive. We gave him a baby aspirin, and the symptoms subsided, except he was still weak. We do not have Vet ER, so in the morning when the Vet's office opened, he was in there. He was diagnosed with having high numbers for the kidney failure, dehydration, and electrolite imbalance.

Last night when we returned home from dinner out, there was a mess in the kitchen. someone had bloody diareha. It was either 13 year old Myles or his 7 yr old Pappilon sister Madison. It was not until this morning that I discovered who had done it. it was Myles. For now, we are watching him, as the blood has stopped as quickly as it started. I am hoping he has some sort of a virus and he is not showing any other signs of distress.
