Corgis and socks!
What is with Corgis and socks? I've noticed in a few discussions that owners have said that their Corgis like to "steal" their socks and play with them/hide them. It's weird because Ender does this too! I have a laundry basket in my room that I dump all my worn clothes into and no matter where the socks are in this basket, Ender will dig them out and run off with them.
Is this a dog thing or just a Corgi thing? Why do they do this (referring to socks specifically and not other articles of clothing)?

take notice its usually the worn socks that they steal, its probably because they smell.. dogs are sometimes really gross about smelly stuff.

Yeah, it's always worn socks.
But why socks? Mine doesn't try to pick up shoes or sniff around in them, but socks he'll go for.

Because it is a game, he knows exactly what will happen after he does that, so deal with the root of the problem, then you can eliminate the ripple effect :)

Sid will sometimes steal socks, but it is mainly my daughter's bra's that he steals! This gets expensive, as you ladies out there know. My daughter is having to learn to keep those items out of corgi reach, but sometimes he gets to her laundry basket before she puts things away.

Hmm, maybe they go for socks because, from their point of view, that is the piece of clothing they see on us more than any other, LOL.

Lance loves socks too, clean or dirty, he likes to chew them!! He used to love to chew shoes but for the most part outgrew the shoes, except when really bored. Hasnt seemed to outgrow the chewing of the socks!!

My Andy is an underwear thief! If I don't put them right into the hamper, she grabs them and runs...sometimes she will lay on her back and swing them over her head. Usually she just chews on them. Gross. Sometimes I call her "Andy panties." LOL
