Anyone read The Dog Food Project?

We stumbled across this website and found loads of information!... including a class action lawsuit against Canidae?? ... and that in California, our governor has recommended broadening the Sales and Use Tax in California to include certain "luxury" services such as vet care?!?!?!

Yes! It is definitely one of the better dog food sites out there, the author have a good background in chemistry and explained her findings quite well. If you're interested in reading more on the FDA side of labeling rules, here's a good read, it'll makes you wonder about many things. Keep in mind that food companies get grace period/ 1st 2nd 3rd warnings to become FDA compliant, my sister is a bio chemist and her old job was to make sure the company's products and environment pass the FDA standards, in her expert opinion? it is a joke. That's why there are all these recalls going on, food companies take their sweet time to "improve" while consumers like us continue to purchase products that are below standard, both the FDA and the food companies are equally responsible.

Thanks! It's horrible to think how deceiving pet food labels can be. I feel the need to run back home and check if the bag of Wellness has the word dinner or formula on its label… haha
