My corgi puppy is 9 weeks old and I am trying to get him to wear a collar so we can go for walks. Whenever I put the collar on he freaks out! Scratching at it and rubbing against the walls trying to get it off! I’m trying to ease him into it by putting it on for a little while each day, but he isn’t getting used to it. Is this normal? Should I have bought him a harness instead of a collar?

It can be normal. You can lessen his anxiety by playing with him with a toy or something once you put it on. You can also make it into a game. "Here's your collar and look at all these yummy treats you get while mommy puts it on and takes it off".
Second MagnoliaFly's answer. My girl took a while with the collar, too. So I'd put it on, and then we'd play with favorite toys or romp around the yard or have a tasty treat. Within a week or two, she totally adjusted to it. But until she stopped noticing it, she really jumped around, and made me feel bad. Keep trying -- she's just a baby, so baby steps with loads of patience, and she'll adjust.
