Nice Responses. I'm a futurist by profession and degree. A futurist is someone who keeps track of emerging social, technological trends etc. We help business, governmental organizations, and individuals plan for the long-term future and by analyzing large global issues (climate change, globalization, demographics, health, etc.) as well as industry specific issues. We help them think about a range of possible futures in order to empower business strategy. As a relatively new futurist (graduated with futures master in 2007) in a relatively new field that is hurting badly from the economy it is virtually impossible to find futures work. Although I have a masters, futures skills are very broad and marketing myself in related industries (planning, research, qualitative analysis) is difficult. So with that said I'm looking for either a full-time job that can make use of my skills or a part-time job that will give me time to keep my feet wet in the futures world and who am I kidding, I'll take anything at this point. Whew, thanks for letting me vent here. Any help would be great and on another note, when is the next corgi meetup? I've yet to make it to one.

Since we're talking about jobs and all... I have a BBA in Marketing from Texas A&M and I need an entry level marketing job! I currently do retail merchandising.

I checked out your myspace page and saw that you degree was in futures? What type of career does that degree go towards?

What is your educational and professional background in? Are you looking for a job in a specific field or just anything you can get?

Hi All, just wondering if any of you Houston Corgi lovers have any potential job leads (full or part-time) in Houston. If would be extra great if the job was with Corgis. We can dream cant we?

We use pooch pad country kennel in Pearland. It's family owned and they have always taken wonderful care of Elwyn. I would recomend them if you are close to Pearland.

Ekko's in Sugarland. The owner is a close personal friend of mine, and takes care of my dogs on a regular basis. She knows dogs, has nice small rooms for the dogs and they stay in play pens during the day. She'll also groom them as part of the package and the place has a yard in the back.

I am going out of town next weekend and had a last minute cancellation from my puppy sitter. Does anyone recommend a sitter or kennel? I don't want my little guy coming home with cooties. I have a place for our older dog, but need a place for the 5 month old. Help!

We went to Danny Jackson early this morning. The dogs had a nice swim and got good and dirty. It is one of my favs since the dogs like water.
