It is with a heavy heart that we are having to rehome one of our boys. They are fighting on almost a regular basis and after a conversation with the Vet he tells us that castrating them probably wont make much of a difference to that.
Reggie is now 8 months old and is a very light red colour, he has half a tail ( we never knew why as he was a rescue puppy to begin with). We were led to believe by the lady that ran the rescue centre that these 2 were the best of friends and had been kept together the whole time she had them, we now know that could not have been the case.
He is house trained, typical corgi appetite.... if its on the floor then its mine! Walks well on the lead and apart from the fighting issue he is a wonderful dog.
We are very sad to see him go and ideally would like to keep in touch with his forever home parents to see him grow (although we realise this would probably be just emails and occasional phone calls anad photos.
If anyone is interested, please send me a message.
Thanks in advance

I'm so sorry to hear that Denise, here's a list of UK owners. Good luck!
Thanks for that Sam, trouble is I dont think Reggie can be where there is another dog, as he incites a riot wherever he goes ( thats my Reggie lol)
May be he'll do well with an extremely submissive corgi? Or someone might know another owner who lost a corgi recently? wishful thinking :)
Maybe a submissive bitch would work, am just hoping that someone will take him and give him the loving home he deserves.
PS Is there anyway I can send a 1 off email to all of those members from the UK?
Good News!!!
Reggie went off to his new home today, with a lovely lady that has had corgi's before. They were totally smitten with each other, and he will have his own couch to laze around on as well as a huge garden to chase butterflies in. ALready she has called us to let us know how he is settling. Archie is now much calmer as well.
As expected I sobbed for the whole afternoon when he moved, but I know its for the best.
That's awesome :)
I'm so glad...I know it had to be tough but I too hope that you have regular updates....it sure makes me feel better. Do they have a computer? I occasionally think of one of my rescues and so I email her (yes the dog) and the dog emails me back...or they send me a message...it's always a great thing to know how they're doing...makes us feel better for having to make such a decision and to know they're cared for!

Take Care! You did what was the best for both dogs!

Jane
I spoke to his new owner again today, he is now to be called Teddy, and is settling well, met all the neighbours and showed her his party trick of jumping something that is at least twice his height.
All seems to be well, and she has promised to call me at the weekend.
