Hi all! We have a 15 week Pembroke. I was wondering if any of you use a booster seat in your car? Right now, we keep him in his crate when we drive him, but I'd love to let him see out the window. The boosters I've seen mostly say they're for dogs up to 20 pounds - that's fine for him now, but wouldn't work for more than a couple more months, right? How do you transport your corgis safely? I don't want him to be unrestrained. Thanks!

I use a seatbelt harness on both Rosie and Rocky. They have a strap that buckles into the car seat belt clip thing. They don't mind them at all and can see out the windows even if they have to put their feet on the window. I also keep them in the back seat so they aren't in danger of getting hurt by the car airbag in the front. They are very happy in their harnesses and the back seat. We went from Iowa to Georgia with no complaints. The harnesses also keep them from jumping out when you open the doors. When we are travelling, I just unclip the strap and leave the harness on while we make some pit stops. I just put the leash on their collars and off we go. Do NOT fasten them in the car using their collars. They could get seriously injured in a sudden stop if they are hooked to the seatbelt with their collars. Use the harness. You can get them at pet stores, online, and even WalMart and stores like that. Just get the harnesses for seatbelt use. They are wider to distribute the weight of the dog better in case of an accident to help prevent injury from the straps. You could put a pillow or two for you dog to sit on also so he could see out better.
Seatbelt harnesses are the way to go if you're not going to crate. I haven't found a booster that's fit for a corgi, let alone with a corgi's size it can send your corgi sailing in an accident.
Cool, thanks guys! This is great advice!
DO NOT buy this car seat

Overall it is a decent product but the leash is a joke!
The leash broke the second time I used it and my poor corgi fell off the seat.
