Reiki had the same thing on her right side under her arm pit. I took her to the vet. and they did aspirate it and looked at it under the microscope, said it was a fatty deposit and to watch it, if it became to big or started to bother her they would remove it. But I would still have it checked out if I were you.

Just had Moira checked for a lipoma yesterday. Our vet said to watch it, and if it grows, we'll remove it.

Thanks for your comments. I will give the vet a call today. I sat with her last night and checked to see if it was causing her any pain and it didn't...but it will keep worrying me if I don't make sure.

my lab Cody had a spot like this when he was a youngster also, we took him in and they pulled some stuff out said it was a fatty deposit and it would and did reabsorb on it's own....

It sounds like a lipoma which is a benign (non-cancerous) tumour that older dogs get. But to make sure you should definitely have it checked by the vet.

For your own piece of mind have it checked out! I don't think it's anything either but you'll feel better!

I would check with a vet too. Usually if you can move it around freely, it's just a cyst but it's always better to be safe than sorry.

I would have it checked out. Sparty has a sabaceous (spelling?) cyst on his chest. It is no big deal and our Standard Poodle years ago had them. It could be something that simple but she is kind of young for it. I would check with the vet.
