Jordan was taken to the vet today because I found a mass or wart looking thing growing on his upper left inside lip. The vet says they are surgically removable but because he only has 1 growth would like to hold off as these things usally crop up with multiple gowths he also said they will usally reabsorb within 6 months and he doesn't see a quality of life issue with the size of this singular growth.....I'm hoping that others have see this in their dogs and if they had them removed or let time reabsorb???

Ew, inside his lip? That's grody. I would hold off on surgery until more crop up, as well. Warts have this nasty way of showing up in another place when you've got rid of one before the body is ready to defeat it. Warts in tough tissues like the soles of human feet tend to stick around FOREVER, but warts in soft tissues do get defeated by the immune system eventually. Unless the wart starts spreading very rapidly or starts to cause him pain, wait it out.

Here's some handy sites I found on google about COPV!

I actually had a dog in the store recently with a HORRIBLE case of them. It was just heart sickening. The couple had rescued the dog from the side of an interstate. We put the dog on some soft food because there was no way he could chew the hard food. I sent them to see my vet. Within about a month, they had all cleared up. Nothing special done. The dog is happy and healthy now. They may see a recurrence but the dog is just fine. I wouldn't be overly concerned.
